Ricardo Valdez Valentine - a.k.a. 6LACK (pronounced as Black) - boasts big fans in the form of Halsey and Hailey Baldwin, and runs with the likes of Future, Jhené Aiko, and The Weekend. With Abel Tesfaye actually popping up at a 6LACK show last week in Los Angeles to perform 'Starboy' and 'Reminder' together live.

He cites Sade, T-Pain, The Dream, and Usher as his R&B influences, and talks about his past as a 'battle rapper' in an interview with Complex here.
