Everything we know about BTS's new album so far.

1) The album is titled ‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’ - a reference to Carl Jung’s ‘Jung’s Map Of The Soul’ - which their record label Big Hit are selling copies of in Korean! If you're interested in purchasing, click here.

2) The album is due out on April 12th worldwide.

3) The first single from the album is ‘Boy With Luv’ - referencing their earlier 2014 song ‘Boy In Luv’ - we love a good Easter egg! Watch ‘Boy In Luv’ below... 

4) Halsey is a feature! She will appear in the ‘Boy With Luv’ song and video, and you can see her in the teaser below…

5) BTS were the #2 global top recording artists of 2018, and their 2018 albums ‘Love Yourself: Answer’ and ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ were #2 and #3 respectively in the global top albums of 2018, and they were also both #1 albums on Billboard Top 200. We have great expectations for ‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’ then!

6) ‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’ has been marked as the ‘beginning of a new chapter’ for the band, but we’re going to have to wait to find out more about what that could mean!

7) The first song ‘Intro: Persona’ (also just known as 'Persona') is a solo by band member RM - it has also been used as the comeback trailer for the album and is already out!

8) The tracklist has been released and many of the titles contain reference to mythology and philosophy - ‘Mikrokosmos’ is the Ancient Greek word for ‘microcosm’, ‘Dionysus’ is the Ancient Greek god of wine, and ‘Jamais Vu’ is a concept for the experience that is opposite to deja vu (literally translating from French as ‘never seen’).

9) The album will only have seven tracks, but what with all the videos, promos and photoshoots, we are sure to be getting a satisfying amount of content!

10) ‘Map Of The Soul: Persona’ has four different ‘versions’ listed on the BTS webstore - this doesn’t mean there’s four versions of the tracks though, just the cover art will differ, as well as the phonebook that comes along with the album. You can either buy the full set of four, or purchase one 'random' one; what you recieve will be a surpirse!

11) All seven members of BTS will be appearing on Saturday Night Live the day after the album comes out - this will be their first post-album performance so is sure to be exciting!
