What has My Chemical Romance's Mikey Way been up to pre-reunion?
It's been a whirlwind of emotions since My Chemical Romance announced their reunion last week, and even moreso now knowing that the band will perform in New Zealand next year!
In celebration of the very exciting time, we thought we'd give you a brief recap on what each band member has been up to since they split (and now reunited!).
After the band split in 2013, Mikey Way founded Electric Century the following year with Sleep Station vocalist David Debiak, releasing their first ever song 'I Lied' in February 2014:
The band went on to release an EP and album in the years following, and saw them lean in a more electro-pop direction compared to MCR.
As well as Electric Century, Way also collaborated with a number of other musicians - including starring in Good Charlotte's 'Makeshift Love' music video:
He also headed back out to do some live shows with Waterparks, after he recorded bass for their 'Cluster' EP:
Way also explored the world of acting, starring in 'The Aquabats! Super Show!' as the lead singer of a fictional death metal band called Asthma.
He also co-wrote 'Collapser' with comic writer Shaun Simon (who co-wrote 'The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys' with Gerard Way), which began publishing through DC Comics earlier this year!
